Off-Season Trips

Fishing the Off-Season (Weather dependent)

Yellowstone National Park offers limited year-round fishing. There are two open rivers, including the Gardiner River from the Park boundary to Osprey Falls and the Madison River from the Park Boundary to the Montana/Wyoming border. We will be offering limited weather-dependent wade fishing in the park and float trips on the Yellowstone River.

We are also offering trips to Armstrong and Dupuy Spring Creeks in Paradise Valley, 10 minutes south of Livingston. The spring creeks can provide great winter fishing opportunities on the right days. The rod fees are added on top of the trip price. The rod fee per angler is $50 from November 1- April 1.

If you are interested in trout spey trips, we offer those as well on the Yellowstone, Lower Madison, and Madison in the park.

Off-season trips accommodate 1-3 guests for wade trips per guide, the third person is a $100 add on. Float trips 1-2 guests per guide/boat. If you have a bigger group, give us a call and we will see if we can accommodate.

All off-season trips are weather-dependent, and we can only run them on calm days above 30 degrees. If we get inclement weather, a refund will be issued.

While you are no doubt battling the elements, winter fishing offers solitude and unpressured fish. With the right layers, gear, and weather (above 30 degrees), some great opportunities are available.

These trips are offered at a discounted price where you get a 3/4 day for a 1/2 day price. Lunch is not included.

We had a blast fishing in Yellowstone with Yellowstone Fishing Co. Our guide, Johnny, knew where to fish and what flies to use.

My daughter was a beginner on the fly. Johnny walked her through the basics of casting and she was catching fish in no time. I’d highly recommend them.

What an amazing experience! Tucker and his crew made our fly fishing dreams come true!

They were so patient and helpful—highlight of our Yellowstone trip!

It’s more than just a guided fishing trip—it’s an experience like no other! Thank you!!

We had the pleasure of fishing with Tucker in Yellowstone. While my husband and I are avid fly fisherman, this was our first guided trip. It did not disappoint! While the fishing started off slow, Tucker did everything in his control to make it a fantastic, enjoyable day.

We ended the day with a “bang” when I successfully landed the largest cuttie of my life! My husband and I have already booked a return trip for next year. We loved our experience and can’t wait to do it again!
